Maliseet Beaded Bag (circa 1870)
Maliseet Beaded Bag (circa 1870)
Price:
$1,500.00
Quantity:
Maliseet Beaded Bag (circa 1870). The Maliseet are
North American Indians of the Algonquian language family
who occupied
the Saint John valley in what is now New Brunswick, Canada, and the northeastern corner of
what is now the U.S. state of Maine
.
What a beautifully done piece, and in great condition. The beadwork is very fine and the
fabric has held up nicely. Each side contains a different design.
Great piece to frame or set on a shelf with other collectibles.
