Apache Basket circa 1920
The rim of the basket is 18" i ndiameter. It is 14 3/4" tall.
The basket is made from willow and black martynia (devil's claw)
It has an interesting past: it was owned by Phoebe Millicent Hearst Cooke
of the famous Randolph Hearst family. She used it to store wood near her fireplace.
Not only a piece of history, but a great looking basket.
